Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to BuildCalcHub. By using this site you agree to these terms. They're short and worth reading — especially the part about what our estimates are and aren't.
1. What BuildCalcHub provides
BuildCalcHub offers free, browser-based calculators that estimate material quantities (such as concrete, gravel, sand, mulch, and topsoil) from dimensions you provide. The calculators apply standard geometric formulas and industry-standard conversion constants, which are documented on each calculator's page.
2. Estimates, not engineering
All results are planning estimates only. Actual material requirements vary with site conditions, subgrade, compaction, moisture, product variations, and workmanship. Before purchasing material or beginning work — and especially before any structural pour such as footings, foundations, or load-bearing slabs — you are responsible for:
- Double-checking your own measurements;
- Confirming dimensional requirements (such as footing depth and slab thickness) with your local building department and applicable building codes;
- Verifying final quantities, densities, and product yields with your supplier; and
- Consulting a qualified professional where the work is structural, load-bearing, or safety-critical.
BuildCalcHub is not a substitute for professional engineering, architectural, or construction advice.
3. No warranty
The site and its calculators are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we work hard to keep formulas and constants correct, we do not warrant that the site is error-free.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildCalcHub and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results — including, without limitation, costs of excess or insufficient material, project delays, or defects in constructed work.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely for personal and commercial estimating. You may not scrape, republish, or resell the site's content or code as your own, interfere with the site's operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Linking to any page is welcome and encouraged.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, and code are the property of the site operator. The underlying mathematical formulas and physical constants are, of course, free facts of the universe — these terms claim no ownership over geometry.
7. Advertising
The site displays third-party advertising, which funds its operation. Advertisers are responsible for their own content, and an ad's appearance on this site is not our endorsement of the product advertised. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
